Since I do not have a Pantry, I changed this into cleaning and organizing my soft drinks and labeling boxes.

Counting Pennies

I always heard the saying "Count your Pennies" from my Grandmother and I never thought anything about it. Now that I am in College I have really come to understand the meaning of "Count your pennies". My money situation is really tight. I have student loans, rent, bills, and my only source of extra income is babysitting from time to time and left over grant money. I have to watch every dime I spend. Being a student, it becomes very easy to spend a few bucks here and there and not think much of it, because you are only spending a little at a time. The problem is that you do not see the BIG picture. All those little amounts of money you spent at different times really add up.

EXAMPLE

Monday

-$2 -2 breakfast burritos from McDonalds

-$3-2 tacos and a drink from Taco bell for lunch

Tuesday

-$4- Starbucks coffee

-$1- quick snack from the vending machine

-$2- Mcdouble and drink from McDonald for dinner

Wednesday

-$6- In clearance items from target you didn't need, but what a great deal!

-$3- Stop at the Gas station and get a quick snack and drink

This one was very simple and easy from Home Made Simple's "30 Days to Getting Organized". I finally switch out all my summer shoes and put them in old shoe boxes and hanged all my winter coats.

This one took no time at all! I do not wear shoes in my apartment so the shoes can get pilled up at my door and it gets very cluttered. So day 2 of "30 Days to Getting" from Home Made Simple was much needed for me!

DIY - Ribbon box

This Ribbon Box Project cost me about $2.30 to make and was well worth it!

Materials

-Photo Box ($2)

-2 1/2' or 3' stick about 1 centimeter in Diameter ($.29)

-Hot Glue Gun (already own)

-Hole Puncher (already own)

How To Cut The Stick
Cut Two - 10 11/16"

Cut Eight - 1"

Cut Four - 1 centimeter

How To Glue The Sticks

You will want to glue them on like you see in the picture. The sticks closest to the edge should be 4 1/2 centimeters high and 3 1/2 centimeter from the edge.

What to do with the hole puncher

Take the hole puncher and punch holes in the side of the box where you want to pull the ribbon through(I did mine about an inch apart). TA DA!! You have a ribbon box!
